As a way of keeping up to date with what's happening on the markets you can choose to receive price and news alerts direct to your mobile phone via SMS and/or research alerts by email.
Email alerts on a change in order status
For At Best, Limit, Stop and Trailing Stop orders you can choose to have an automatic email sent to you once the status of your order changes. Typically this occurs when the order has been dealt, rejected or becomes expired. This is an optional service and can be requested when you are placing an order – see Dealing on your account for further details.
Receiving an email alert regarding a status change of an order is a useful feature that enables you to keep up to date with the progress of your orders even when you are not logged into the website.
Email notification will usually be sent to the email address that we hold for you, unless you have nominated a different email address for an order.
You should be aware that our email service does not send secure emails. If you have any concerns, please choose not to receive order status updates by email by de-selecting this option when placing your order.
Market Insight Email alerts
Get market movement information direct to your inbox, throughout the day. Subscribe to any of our nine market reports each day, for example, Morning Call is a daily pre-market report highlighting stocks to watch each day, Analysts' Views gives you the latest available analyst recommendations and Director Deals contains short editorials on major deals of the day.
Research alerts by email
By subscribing to our Equity Research email Alerts Service you can keep abreast of our opinion on over 200 UK and selected European shares.
This free service is available to all clients with a Barclays Stockbrokers online account. If you subscribe to the service, we will send you one email alert per company that we cover, whether you own the stock or not, on the same day that we update any report on our website with any change of grade. Since we only update individual reports whenever our recommendation for the company changes the frequency of emails will vary. Please note that a significant news update alone will not generate an email alert, only when there is a change of grade.
You can only receive emails to one email address. If you have a joint account, we will send the alerts to the email address we have for the first named account holder.
To subscribe to the Equity Research email Alert service visit the ‘Alerts’ section of our website, accessible in the ‘Home’ tab after you have logged in. Select ‘Research Alerts’ and follow the easy onscreen steps. You can also unsubscribe from this service at any time. Please allow 24 hours for any change in subscription to take effect.
