Employee Share Plans
Barclays Stockbrokers offers two types of approved employee share plans to corporate clients: Save As You Earn (Sharesave) Schemes and Share Incentive Plans
Save As You Earn (SAYE or Sharesave) schemes enable companies to offer their employees the opportunity to become shareholders by way of share options linked to a tax-efficient savings scheme. Employees save by payroll deductions from their net pay. Barclays provides a comprehensive SAYE service covering scheme implementation, on-going administration and maturity. Barclays SAYE service is available in both the UK and Ireland.
Share Incentive Plans (or SIPs) allow employees to buy shares in their employing company through deductions from gross (pre tax and NI) salary. Barclays have all the elements needed for companies to successfully implement and operate a SIP. These include Trusteeship, Plan Administration and Stockbroking.

- A dedicated Relationship Manager as your point of contact with responsibility for your company's scheme or plan
- Working with you and your advisers on design, initial and annual employee communication
- Liasing with your Payroll team to agree ongoing procedures
- Providing templates for explanatory booklets, application forms, share agreements and other materials
- Providing on-line and paper response channels
- Agreeing and co-ordinating timetables for planned events
- Supporting employee presentations together with telephone help lines
- Looking after all aspects of day to day administration
- Regular review meetings with you and other stakeholders including HR, payroll, etc
- Offering seamless additional employee choices on maturity
