Detailed quote
for a stock holding
Your
portfolio valuation
In ‘Account View’ you will also be able to view a
summary of your account holdings.
Here we will summarise the total
number of holdings in your account, the total purchase cost to date, the updated market value of your account and the
total percentage change of your account purchase cost versus your current
account market value.

Total
Number of Holdings
This is the total number of stock, fund, bond or gilt holdings
held within your account at the present time.

Total
Purchase Cost
The Total Purchase Cost displayed is the sum of each purchase
cost for all of the stock holdings within your account.
Each stock holding within your
account is allocated a purchase cost when it is bought through your Barclays
Stockbrokers account. The purchase cost will match that displayed on your
contract note and represents the total cost of your shares including commission
and any other charges. Please note that Corporate Actions may also affect the purchase cost.
If the stock holding was not
purchased through us, but transferred into your account, instead the purchase
cost allocated to the holding will be that provided by you. If you fail
to provide a purchase cost we will allocate zero to that stock holding
and on screen this will be displayed as N/A. You can amend a purchase
cost at any time by contacting our Client Service Team on 0845 609 0039
or writing to us to confirm the purchase cost.

Total
Change
This value represents the percentage increase or decrease of
the total market value of your stock holdings relative to their total
purchase cost.

Total
Market Value
Each stock holding in your account has a market value based on
a recent mid price. The Total Market Value displayed is the sum of each
market value for all of the stock holdings within your account.

Holdings
List
Below the summary information about your stock holdings you can
view all of your individual holdings. For each holding you will see the
following:
- Epic code: if you select this, it will take you
through to the Detailed Quotes page for the stock in the Research Centre.
- QTY: The quantity of shares or units you own at the
present time. Please note that Pending orders are not included in this
value.
- Ex-Div: The ex-dividend price for each stock will
be displayed.
- Name: The name of the company, fund or bond you
have a holding in - if you select this, it will take you to the ‘Stock
History’ page for your holding.
- Purchase Cost: The purchase cost of the holding.
Please note that if a purchase cost has not been provided for a holding
then a value will not be displayed here.
- Mid Price: A mid-price for the shares. During market
hours if a real-time mid price is not available then the closing mid
price from the previous business day will be displayed instead. Please
note that for fund holdings this value will be the latest published
price.
- Total change or change today:
The title of this function will depend on your personal settings. Through
the personalise option you can choose to display the percentage change
on each holding since you purchased the stock or by the percentage change
since the market opened. The default setting is to display the percentage
change since the stock was purchased. Please
note that if a purchase cost has not been provided for a holding then
its percentage change will not be displayed.
- Market Value: The market value for the holding based
upon a real-time mid price. Please note that outside market hours the
market value will be based on a closing mid-price.
- Deal: By selecting the ‘Deal’ button
next to a holding you will be taken through to the dealing pages of
the website where you will notice that we have already pre-populated
the epic code or fund name in the appropriate field.

Sorting
your stock holdings
You can sort the stocks in your
account by Code, Quantity or Ex-dividend date. The default setting is
to display by company code. To change the sort criteria select the personalise
option and change the 'Default sort column ' to your preferred option.

Detailed
