Funds Dealing Package - Barclays Dynamic 80 Tracker Fund

This is an innovative new fund that’s been designed to offer investors a healthy level of asset diversification, and combines this with investment protection, where the price of the fund will never fall below 80% of the highest ever price the fund reaches. If you’re looking for the prospects of capital growth and also want an element of protection for your investment, then the Barclays Dynamic 80 Tracker Fund is a fund to consider.
The fund is designed for individuals who seek some capital growth and require a high level of protection to their capital. To achieve this, the fund will invest in both cash and the Barclays Dynamic Global Index proportionally. You need to be aware however that the investment techniques adopted to achieve this protection will tend to restrain the potential for growth.
At the core of the fund is the Barclays Dynamic Global Index. This is a newly created managed index that tracks four sub-indices, one each to represent global equities, bonds, commodities and commercial property. Barclays will actively manage the index by adjusting the mix of the sub-indices, and a further cash index to maximise potential returns. As some of the securities included within the Index will be denominated in currencies other than sterling then any changes in currency exchange rates will have an impact on the level of the Index. There’s also a price protection element that will make sure that the price of the fund never falls below 80% of the highest price the fund reaches.

IFunds should be viewed as a mid to long term investment. If you're not prepared to invest in a fund for more than 5 years, then it might not be the right investment for you. The value of funds and any income that they generate can fall as well as rise and you may get back less than you invested. If you are uncertain about the suitability of funds or fund packages as an investment, you should seek financial advice.
